This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the terms between you and us under which you may use the Site (as defined in the Site Terms which this Acceptable Use Policy forms part of). This policy applies to both Vendors and Customers (as defined in the Site Terms).

Prohibited uses

You may not use the Site:

(a)in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation;


(b)in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;


(c)in a manner that unfavourably affects the performance or proper functioning of the Site, or any computer systems or networks used by the Site; 

(d)to transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam); and/or

(e)to knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware.

You must, nor try to, make mass, automated or systematic extractions of Site content, or use it to create or include it within another database, or try to re-sell or re-distribute it.

You also agree not to access without authority, interfere with, damage or disrupt:

(a)any part of our Site;


(b)any equipment or network on which our Site is stored; or


(c)any software used in the provision of our Site.


Content Standards

These content standards apply to any and all User Content (as defined in the Site Terms). The standards apply to each part of any User Content as well as to its whole.

User Content must:

(a)be accurate (where it states facts);


(b)be genuinely held (where it states opinions); and/or


(c)comply with applicable law in the UK and in any country from which it is posted.

User Content must not:

(a)contain any material which is defamatory of any person, obscene, offensive or hateful;


(b)promote sexually explicit material, violence or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;


(c)infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person;


(d)be likely to deceive any person;


(e)be made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence;


(f) be threatening, abuse or invade another’s privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety;


(g)be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person;


(h)be used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person;


(i) give the impression that they emanate from us, if this is not the case; and/or


(j) advocate, promote or assist any unlawful act or illegal activity such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse.

Changes to the acceptable use policy

We may change this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. If appropriate, for example where the change increases your obligations or limits your rights, we will notify you of the change by sending an email to the address which is linked to your account.
